What is CoolTone™?
CoolTone™ is the newest member of the CoolSculpting® family, as well as AVCMD’s newest body contouring treatment! This advanced non-invasive technology targets the muscles directly to tone, strengthen, and firm the abdomen, thighs and buttocks.
CoolTone™, an FDA-cleared treatment, uses electromagnetic energy to stimulate the muscles and creates involuntary muscle contractions that are different from what you can achieve with normal exercise. This causes muscle fibers to become stronger, and results in a more toned and defined appearance.*
Where does the “cool” come from?
CoolTone™ was designed and manufactured by the makers of CoolSculpting®, a favorite treatment at our practice. Unlike CoolSculpting®, which targets and reduces fat noninvasively, CoolTone™ targets the muscle directly. The two treatments would be a great pair for those looking to shed fat and increase muscle definition!
How is this different from other muscle toning technologies?
In independent studies, CoolTone™’s magnetic intensity was stronger than other similar technologies, so there’s potential for stronger stimulation and contraction of the muscle fiber, leading to strengthening and toning of the treated areas. Additionally, while other technologies claim 20,000 contractions in the session duration, CoolTone™ is able to deliver between 25,000-30,000 contractions. More contractions + stronger contractions = happy patients!
How many sessions will I need?
We offer CoolTone™ packages of four (4) treatments at a time, which should occur over a period of two weeks, i.e. twice per week. Patients will come back every eight to 12 weeks for maintenance treatments as well.*
Is there any downtime?
There is little to no downtime after your treatment. You may feel slight soreness for 24-48 hours post-treatment in the treated areas.* You can resume your regular activities as soon as you feel comfortable enough to do so!
Which areas can be treated?
The CoolTone™ treatment is FDA-cleared for toning, strengthening and firming of the abdomen, thighs and buttocks.
